Pastor Dale, his wife Melodie and their son Austin have been with us since August of 2016.  The Lord moved them here from Burleson, TX after living and ministering there for 11 years.  Before that they lived and served churches in the East Texas area of Greenville.  Pastor Dale has been in the ministry since 1989 and loves making new relationships with people and showing them the Love of Jesus.  His interests include watching college football, entertaining family and friends, and shooting.  He says, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.  That is what our ministry is all about."  Please come and worship The Risen Savior with us at FBC Taft.  Faith-Family-Fellowship

I grew up in a Southern Baptist Church in Ingleside where my Father served as Music Director, Youth Director, and when needed, Interim Pastor.  I learned firsthand how to serve the Lord with my talents, my presence, my gifts, and my service.  When I was six years old, we had some missionaries come to our church and give us their testimony.  I felt the call to follow Christ and at the age of seven I gave my life to the Lord and was baptized.  When I was eight, I began playing the piano for my Father during worship service.  This allowed me to use the incredible talent God has given me for His use, for the first time in my life.  I couldn’t wait to go to church to play for my Lord and Savior, and my heart was burning with a fire to serve.  My Freshman year in college allowed me the opportunity to serve as the Music Director at First Baptist Church of Woodsboro under longtime pastor, Reverend Jimmy Arnold.  I served with Bro. Jimmy for five years until I moved to Stockdale to take my first Band Director Job.  While in Stockdale I married my wife whom I had been dating for three years, and after just a year I was called back to my hometown to take over the position of Director of Bands for Ingleside ISD.  After six years of building the band program, having three beautiful children, and not being home much during football season, I was asked to take a position as an Assistant Principal at Aransas Pass High School.  After two years I was given an Elementary School in the district where I worked for two years.  Finally I applied for, and was hired as the Principal at Woodroe Petty Elementary in Taft where I met Pastor Dale and now serve with him at First Baptist Church.  Every day I strive to serve my Lord with all that I am, and each day since He became my Savior has been better than the day before.  His infinite love is enough for me and my family and I am now working to teach my children the love of Jesus Christ.  May the love of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, be with you now and forever.
